Stock markets are bearish, but financial astrology in Poland is developing rapidly. The article describes how it all started there.

Four years ago I found a Website of International Society of Business Astrologers (ISBA).  Although I had had some knowledge and experience in general astrology, the subject of financial astrology was completely new to me. I didn’t think too long if I want to join ISBA or not, and I quickly became a member of ISBA. Soon after there was a remarkable Congress in Amsterdam (2005) and rare opportunity to meet well known astrologers personally.

After the Congress I decided to set up a Website about financial astrology and ISBA itself. The site www.astrobiznes.pl is bilingual (Polish and English) and is getting more and more visits. Two years ago I also started to write an Internet blog just to put some notes about my transactions on the stock market. Some traders advice to write down all transactions you make and the reasons of financial decisions, so you can review them afterwards and find out any mistakes if necessary. That was the original idea but there was also a space for readers to leave their comments. Soon after I realised the blog became a place where other traders and astrologers meet just to share their ideas on subject!

As a newbie on the stock market I used to make lots of transactions. The good side of often trading was that my blog was updated regularly and brought more and more readers. The word of mouth has spread that there is “someone who bets on stars” and it brought some attention from media. Maybe they found it amusing but I was asked to give some interviews for newspapers. Soon after a popular financial Web portal www.stooq.pl asked me to write daily comments on the stock market using financial astrology. They set up a column named Financial Astrology and for the last year I can see more and more people reading my comments. The bright side of these daily comments is they give me motivation to study stock markets and financial astrology every day. I have also developed some astrological tools for day trading on futures contracts. Last but not least, people reading about financial astrology every day begin to accept it as something natural and sooner or later they try to do their own research.

Comparing e-mails I got recently and two years ago I can see some shift in people attitude to the subject. In the past they were sceptical and preferred to stay in anonymity. Now they contact me sharing their ideas or just to give their support. I think they just needed some encouragement. Definitely financial astrology gets more and more interest in Poland. It is amazing how many people get involved and join the research. There is more and more websites on business and financial astrology in Poland. Honestly, I wasn't expecting of that but of course it gives me a lot of personal satisfaction.

Probably the biggest surprise for me was an invitation to give a lecture on a Congress held by Investors Association. This Polish Association gathers people interested in stock markets investing. They also publish a magazine, books, and twice a year they organise a Congress for 300 people: individual investors, fund managers and bank officials. My lecture on financial astrology was spoken last weekend (30.11.2008) and I decided to tell participants what financial astrology is and what isn't, reveal some well known people and institutions that were astrologers' clients and share some examples of astrological tools they can use in stock market trading. Of course I couldn’t forget to mention ISBA and its goals. The lecture brought much attention from the Congress participants; I got many questions on the subject and even got an invitation to make a speech for some other group of investors. Many people asked why there are no books about business and financial astrology in Polish and when they will be published. I think this is the right time that a book about financial astrology needs to be written and published in Poland.

After four years I first met ISBA much has changed for good in the Polish astrology. There is much better attitude towards the subject; people can see a value in looking for astrologers' advice. The subject is widely discussed with due respect and curiosity. A lecture about astrology brought much interest and hopefully more people would study the subject even further.
